We are Monday 9-23-19 at 6pm. Was not overly crowded and got to a booth quick. The large chicken fried steak was tender, garlic mashed potatoes seasoned perfect. My spouse got fish/shrimp combo and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Not greasy. Not "fishy". Warm from the oven rolls were also delicious.

My wife, daughter and I stopped here for dinner while driving south through Texas. We were seated right away, and the tables near us were empty. A server came promptly and was friendly enough. We placed our orders: Grilled salmon, grilled chicken breast, a quesadilla, and a side of what the menu called "skinny broccoli" because it was steamed and not covered in melted butter. These were not complicated dishes.

Empty tables near us began to fill.

We sat and waited, and waited and waited. By now, our water glasses sat empty -- just like our stomachs. Every 10 minutes or so, our server would come by and say something like, "I think they are putting your food in the window, now." Yet they weren't.

The tables near us received salads, then main courses. Finally, we asked if we could at least have the cup of soup we'd ordered and maybe a refill on water. She said she'd check if they could get that out early.

Or soup came, and she promised a refill on water and told us our dinners were being plated. Soon, we realized that these were just more empty promises.

Tables around us began paying their bills. Yet there we sat, still waiting for food and water. Finally, two of our three dinners arrived with water refills and the promise that the third meal was "just being finished up." My daughter and I began to eat and were almost done before my wife's meal even came.

The broccoli served to both my wife and me was covered in butter and we had to prove to the server by showing her the butter puddle on the plate to make her believe that the kitchen had not given us the skinny broccoli we'd ordered. Normally, we might have let this slide, but after an hour of waiting, we'd hope they'd at least send the right food. Oh, and when my wife's meal did come, they forgot the side of rice.

We finished our meal, paid our bill, and went to the bathroom. What greeted us there was a sight so disgusting that had we seen it before we'd eaten we'd have left immediately. The restrooms were not only untidy (the soap dispenser sat on the sink in the men's room unusable), but disgustingly dirty. Sticky floors, a horribly unclean toilet. I'd describe it further, but if you're reading this, you want to eat, so I'll leave it there.

We talked to the manager about the condition of the bathrooms. She apologized and explained that the dishwasher had come in late that morning so the bathrooms weren't cleaned that day. Which means that they only clean the bathrooms once a day, anyway, even though they are used continually throughout the day.

The manager said that she wished her staff had told her about our difficulties, earlier so she could have done something to make it right. (She still could have as we were still there.) She did offer us a free meal on our next visit. We declined, however, as we'll never go back there, again.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

We stopped here on a Girls Trip to Galveston! We loved the service and the atmosphere! The kind young server, Chelsea, was amazing and ended our meal by telling us to have a blessed day!! She was so sweet! We were not fans of the queso! It is a nice place but we hoped the food had been a little better. We would try this place again!

We ate here this week and came in around 5pm hoping to beat the dinner rush. There were only 3 other tables in the main dining area where we were seated and there were several employees standing at the front talking. We sat at our table for about 15 minutes and were never greeted by a server or asked what we would like to drink. I commented to another server at the table next to us that we needed assistance and he walked off, and never came back. Another 5 minutes goes by and we ask the hostess where our server is and she said she would get him for us. Now it’s been about 25 minutes and we still haven’t given a drink order. Another couple comes in and sits down beside us and is immediately greeted and given rolls and drinks. My wife says that we should leave and as we begin to walk out she mentions to the hostess and other employees standing at the front talking that we were really disappointed that no one has come to check on us. I then asked if someone would be willing to provide service to us and then we were told that someone would be right there. We went back to our table and waited an additional few minutes before our server finally showed up. He told us that the table who came in after us was in someone else’s section which is why that particular server did not assist us. We explained to him that several employees were available and had walked by us or were standing around talking and no one checked on us. Then we were given our drinks and rolls with no plates and no silverware. It took about 40 minutes for our meal to be served after we finally ordered. The food was sub-par. My daughter asked for cookies that came with her kid’s meal but were never provided. We never got refills. The loaded baked potato looked like it had been microwaved and was missing bacon and chives because they were out. The fish was flavorless. We asked to speak to the manager and then had to wait even longer on her to come out. We told her what happened and an apology was made but nothing was taken off of our ticket and we paid full-price for a meal that was sub-par and had us there for over an hour and a half. We will not be coming back.
