Our party had pastas, pizza and salads and was very happy with all. The pasta had an authentic Italian taste. This was our third visit. The large one topping pizza is discounted on Mondays to just $10. Happy hour bottle domestic beer was $2. I don't think they are open for lunch so call before going.

We were heading into Austin for the night but wanted somewhere outside to have dinner and found Carmela's on tripadvisor and thought we would give it a go. The reviews were right, this place is a little gem. The bread served up was delicious and the appetizers we shared were wonderful. We all went for pizza and loved every bite (the leftovers came in handy when we were driving home in the early hours after music and dancing). Really good value for money with wonderfully cooked food and service. Give it a try you will love it.

It's out of the way but worth the trip. Start with the freshly baked bread. Wow! We had the trio (lasagna, ravioli and chicken Parmesan) as well as the Sicilian pizza. It was all fantastic. The lasagna is very unique and delicious. Crust super crispy with just enough sauce.

Excellent pizza. The in-laws had pasta dishes and they were very happy. The hubby and I shared a pizza and salad, so good. Great dough. Service was so so but easy to look past. Clean. Kid friendly. Good wine and beer menu. Nothing on tap. One of the best cannolis we have had outside of Boston or new York. Would definitely go back...be aware in a plaza with a gas station. But worth it.

Carmela's is one of our favorite restaurants. Who knew that this little restaurant in a gas station strip mall, would have the most consistently delicious food. We have been regulars for more than 2 years and have found everything from their hamburgers and gourmet pizzas to their specialty pasta dishes delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is casual but you couldn't find better Italian food in the fanciest downtown restaurant. The waitstaff is attentive and very friendly. It is always a treat to visit Carmela's. It is a hidden treasure.
