“Nice little winery tucked away in Dripping Springs”

It was 85 degrees on June 15th at the winery so that in itself is a small miracle for June in Texas. We shared a wine tasting flight and then sat and listened to Cheryl Murdock who recently released "Late Bloomer". She's a very good singer. Do stop by and enjoy the little winery in Hill country.

First off, Google maps and GPS inaccurately showed where the winery is. Just go another 100 yds are so. It is there!

A cozy winery overall. A very nice setup with great wine list to taste. I have never tried a symphony wine before and now I am glad that I did. WOW!

Bell Springs doesn't grow their own grapes, but they know how to make great bottles of different wines. Great place. Will be back for a refill!

Bell Springs has a nice location on a hill amongst some trees. Other patrons were taking advantage of the picnic tables on the large porch for a relaxing lunch. The staff were extremely friendly, but not really knowledgeable about Texas wines. So what about the wines? Firstly, I was surprised to learn that this winery did not use any Texas grown grapes. Most were imported from the West coast and at least one varietal was imported from Italy. And while certainly drinkable, none of the wines were particularly memorable.

My husband and I stop here when we drive through Austin. The wine is very good and reasonably priced. They have a nice porch and grassy area with chairs. The trees and nature are the view and are very relaxing.
We enjoy chatting with the staff as well. They are not normally very busy so you get good service. I recommend stoping here if you get the chance.
