The sign out front says "casual fine dining," and more accurate descriptors are rarely used. Regardless of the region of the country visited, when traveling with our good friends, we always attempt to seek out restaurants that offer something extra, while capturing the flavor of the region. We all felt Creek Road Cafe more than met the criteria. Whether having a nice bottle of wine cooled in a limestone chiller or watching my good friend cut his prime rib with a fork, the entire evening was a delightful experience for both couples. The crab cakes, the shrimp, the pork chop bordering 2" thick and the homemade desserts left those of us who overindulged wishing for pants with an elastic waste band. If you are staying anywhere in the Hill Country, call for reservations and enjoy an outstanding dining experience.
