Lunch options are slim in this small town, so it's not a bad choice if one doesn't have the time to drive south for more variety. The service is fine if the manager is working the counter; otherwise expect to wait on employees to finish their conversations before getting around to waiting on you.
The coffee is weak but their blackberry tea is tasty. Most of their soups are good, just don't order the lentil one, which was way undercooked. The meat and cheese board is a hearty lunch, but watch out for slimy turkey at times. The strawberry cake is delish.
