I stayed here the week of February 13 departing on the 16th.
It was an unbelievable stay---The staff go out of there way to make your stay comfortable.
The rooms are spotless.

We made a quick overnight stay in Decatur and from the moment we walked in we were greeted in a friendly manner. Front desk staff so kind, even at midnight. Room was clean, comfortable and very nice. As we checked out another friendly woman working the desk, told us about the things they do to accommodate guests. Thhanger developing activities for guests and are really building a relationship with their customers. Very pleased with this place.

I write reviews regularly. We stayed in Decatur at another hotel Christmas night, which was great. However, we were back this weekend and decided to stay at Baymont. Mainly, due to the fact it had a hot tub and indoor pool and lower rate. My boyfriend arrived before I did and found that the elevator did not work. I like higher floor rooms for less noise. He went ahead and checked in. I arrived and decided we would be OK on the 2nd floor. The hot tub jets did not work. The girl at the front desk, though nice, did not know where to recommend to eat except Chili's. We were asking about a place that I think is local which ended up being closed, when we found it. The lights were out on the sign and this is why we missed it, driving past several times. It was not two blocks from the hotel. The girl is local and not new there to the town. She really should know more than one place to direct people to eat, if she stays working in a hotel. The last thing that happened was the main reason we checked out the next morning and did not stay. It was not real cold outside, especially for January. The window units do not pull in outside air, nor do the windows open. Due to that, the way many units are being built and installed today in hotels, if the temprature does not drop below a certain degree, you cannot get the room any cooler. The room remained warm all night. We really are not hot natured people but this was too hot for us. The girl the next morning did offer us a suite to stay and did discount our room when we checked out. But the problem of the window unit is not one that will easily be solved in one step. I think other people would get too warm in a room and I wonder why no one has complained before. I hated to write this because the people who did write reviews on this hotel all wrote positives except me. I am sorry. But if you are a hot natured person, you may consider this before booking there.

This hotel is the friendliest hotel i have ever been to. When i would go to decatur i would try a new hotel each time until i came across Baymont. Every person on every shift was extremely nice and always asked if i needed anything. They would take hot fresh cookies to people who had children or who were handicapped. They definitely have the Hometown Hospitality down packed.
I also wanted to say, when we got snowed in they had somebody go to the store so they could provide sandwhiches, chips & drinks for all of us who were stuck there.
They Amazed Me :-)

When I booked the room on line the prices had a 20% discount, and the prices were extremely reasonable, especially when compared to similar hotels in the same class. As time went on, I realized why this was not such a bargain. The room was fine, however the furniture was very well worn and in need of refinishing. What really turned me off was the so-called breakfast included in the price of the room. The waffle machine was out of order (and seemed to have been for while.) The large chafing dish with eggs and sausage were essentially empty!! - had some faint traces of what I assumed were scrambled eggs, and there was one piece of sausage. There was also a single danish muffin on the pastry tray. For cereals, one milk pitcher was labeled, the second pitcher was not. There was a very small selection of fresh fruit. The only thing they had ample food of was bread and muffins for toasting. For being so highly rated on Trip Advisor, this hotel needs to wake up.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the freeway

My family and I stayed a couple of nights and enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful, hot and lots to choose from. The rooms didn't make me feel like i was in a hotel. They had all the amenities one could want and the staff was so helpful and FRIENDLY. We brought our RV and asked the lady at front desk where we could park it and she said they had extra parking across the street at the Baptsit Church which was very accommodating. They also gave us ideas on what we could do with our grandchidren. We will always stay at the Baymont in Decatur.

Room Tip: just let the front desk staff know all your needs because they are very accommodating :-)

Very nice hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed, had a refrigerator, microwave, and safe. I was charged for the safe even though we didn't even open it..... The breakfast was good. Negative thing about the hotel is the small parking lot. We were hauling a trailer behind our truck and couldn't find enough room to park. There were trailers already parked in the fire lane and parking lot. Since it was 10 at night when we got there, we had no other choice but to park in the bank parking lot across the street. Considering where we were forced to park we were hurried out of the hotel the next morning..... Nice place unless you are hauling something. If so, I would recommend a different hotel that has ample parking.
