“Still the Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

Visited Dallas for Business in October and had the opportunity to stay at the Mansion, where I haven't stayed in a number of years, as I've not had the need to go to Dallas until October. The service, rooms and everything about this hotel are top notch, from the valets to the front desk staff to the amenities in the room. Our suite had been redecorated since my last stay, but still in very good taste and comfortable. The location is terrific - very serene and secluded - not always the most convenient for getting to meetings downtown especially now with some of the roads under construction (on Maple and around that area) but worth the inconvenience for the comfort and luxury of this hotel. The restaurant here is spectacular - in food, service and ambiance. This remains my hotel of choice when visiting the Dallas area.

Room Tip: They're all good - have stayed in rooms throughout the hotel and have found them all to be wonde...

We spent a long weekend @ The Mansion on Turtle Creek . First, we were assigned a ground floor room---where there was an obvious mold issue (apparently in the air conditioning vent system?). After we complained (and my wife developed a throbbing headache as she is allergic to mold spores), we were given an upper floor room. It was a totally different atmosphere---fabulous accomodations. Staff was marvelous---they certainly went above and beyond expectations to make us comfortable!

Room Tip: Ask for upper floor rooms to avoid potential mold issues.

The name isn't a misnomer, this actually used to be a private home in Dallas' Turlte Creek neighborhood... of course its been expanded many times. The hotel is one of the finest I've stayed in, we're talking along the lines of the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs and any Ritz-Carlton. The hotel is often more known for the "Mansion" restaurant as it is commonly known. We had a beautiful room that was really well sized with a large bathroom, it was beautifully furnished, too. The pool facilities were quite nice, albeit a little on the small side. The Library was a favorite of ours, it's the bar for the hotel in what was the mansion's old Library. Breakfast at the patio of the Mansion restaurant was lovely. The staff was superlative.

Room Tip: I doubt there is a single, sub-par room here.

We spent a wonderful few days here. Gorgeous architecture and our room was spacious and restful. I could live here so happily. The restaurants serve amazing meals and I loved the wood paneled bar. What a beautiful, relaxing pool area too. This is our new "Dallas Home" when we come for visits. Exquisite...Bravo!

I just returned from a 2 night stay at the Mansion and the staff makes you feel like you are a good friend that has returned. What I love about it is you don't feel like you are in a huge hotel where you are just a number, they greet you by name and aim to please. Drinks in the bar is a must as it is my favorite !! Breakfast on the terrace ,when the weather is nice, is a perfect place to start the day. And ending the day with a delicious dinner in the Library room of the dining room feels like you are eating in an elegant dining room of a friend, nice and cozy.
I have stayed at Zaza,Crescent,Ritz,Palomar,Lumen and Mansion is by far my favorite with the BEST staff/service.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the courtyard, not parking lot

Just got back from The Mansion on Turtle Creek. WOW! The entire staff bends over backwards for you from the valet, check-in staff, bellmen, bartenders and especially the Concierge staff. You are treated like royalty by the whole staff at this property....why stay anywhere else?? HIGHLY recommended!

Recently stayed 3 nights at the Mansion on Turtle Creek and had a delightful experience. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay. The very capable staff, great restaurant, and comfortable room exceeded all my expectations. I hope to return in the near future!
