Just spent a great weekend at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. The place is old money Dallas; the staff is attentive, gracious, polished but certainly not pretentious. From the Valet... to the lovely fun staff at the pool... everyone was very welcoming. I reserved a patio suite that included breakfast and valet parking for $350 a night. A deal for this level of property due to it being the dead of summer.
All food and beverage service was exceptional. Not cheap. But really well done. Room service breakfast was the best I've ever experienced. The gym and spa were awesome. I would avoid a patio room in the future, although well cared for... the small patios look out onto a large wall and the noise from love field challenges conversation. The outside seating is iron with no cushions. In room amenities were first rate. Bath products were presented in lovely refillable decanters. The product was top quality and I appreciated the choice with respect to the environment. Room and bath size where luxurious. Furnishings classic, not trendy. This property makes you feel special... not sure there is any greater compliment for the hospitality business.
