We stayed here as a last minute choice having been let down by Expedia cancelling at a weeks notice the hotel we were due to stay at which we'd booked through them about 5 weeks before. There was very little choice left for the dates we needed so we were less than happy to have to book an hotel that was quite a way further from the attractions and restaurants we'd already booked. However although apprehensive about staying somewhere that was not really our choice, more Hobsons choice,we were in the end happy with our stay.
The Fairmont is a big hotel but service never seemed impersonal and all the staff were unfailingly polite ,courteous and obliging.
Our room was a decent size on the 12th floor. It was clean and well equipped. There was a bath with over-bath shower. The bath was quite narrow though.Towels and toiletries were fine except no fresh shower gel on our 2nd day.Small thing and I'm sure if we'd bothered to ask housekeeping it would have been put right but some things shouldn't have to be put right--they're so basic they should just happen.
The mini-bar is packed and be careful as ,if you move things about but don't use them you could be charged for them or charged a re-stocking fee.We wanted to put some things in the mini-bar to keep cold, like fresh milk for coffee but didn't as it was impossible without moving items. We did though ask for a mini-fridge which was supplied by housekeeping within 15 minutes.Excellent.
The hotel courtesy car is available to take you to restaurants but there seemed to be only one car and it's first come first served so hit and miss. And it ends at 9pm.So limited use.
Valet parking was efficient although quite expensive .Some people used the much cheaper public car park that's literally behind the hotel.
Easy walk to JFK Plaza, where most tours seem to start, about 15 minutes.
Bar was quite good although it did get very busy in the evening especially.Dallas is convention city and this hotel during our stay was very busy with many many people attending conventions and in the evening those people head for the bar to network.
All in all this is a decent enough choice for a short stay.No complaints

Our suite was great and exactly what we were needing for a couples trip! We spent time at the rooftop pool which was nice and relaxing, enjoyed eating at the Pyramid Restaurant, and had really good cocktails at the lobby bar (try the smoking old fashioned!) The staff was great and very helpful, friendly and accommodating. It was great being in a central location where you can walk to many restaurants and anything is a quick Uber away. My husband and I are already planning our next trip back!!

We recently lost my Dad and my 88 year old Mom had read in the WSJ about the Berthe Morisot exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art...this was 2-3 months ago....she looked at me and asked if we could go see the exhibit with some of our "Southwest miles" and so it began....called the hotel directly and over the course of planning spoke with three terrific individuals. Lori, Tammy & Crystal. We needed a connected room and my Mom , who has macular degeneration, could not be too far away....they provided us with an affordable option and the room and bathroom were able to accommodate my Mom's disabilities with our help. #1821 & #1823 with a comfortable sitting room and a beautiful view. Then there was the staff.....William at the door who made my Mom from the get go feel special...Phillip & Joe the concierge, amazing....Oscar the driver of the Fairmont SUV always helped my Mom in & out of the vehicle. And having the vehicle was a huge bonus....Christine & Karen at the Front Desk...all wonderful!!!! Thank you for helping us create a memory!

We had a great stay at the Fairmont Dallas. This is a full-service hotel so be prepared for valet parking and bell hops handling your luggage. The accommodations and amenities were top notched, we were comped a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries because we were in town to attend my wife’s graduation at UTA. We didn’t care for the sparkling wine. The concierge services were invaluable. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and all the various attractions and they all had a very pleasant and customer service-oriented demeanor. Come prepare with cash for tips (we usually don’t carry cash on us). There is an ATM in the lobby for your convenience. We got cash back while out at Walmart to use to tip the valet and bell hops. There’s a $32/day charge for valet services and $200 incidental hold per room as well. The front desk attendant reduced our charge to $100/room since we had two rooms booked. There’s a complimentary car service provided by the hotel that will take you up to a mile in any direction from the hotel. We didn’t use the service, but I thought that was very convenient and useful for guests. Over all, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again on any future trips to the Dallas area.

Stayed for a weekend with my mother and three teenaged daughters. We had a king suite and queen connecting room on the gold level of the hotel. Let me say that from the moment you check in until the moment you leave the staff exudes customer service and extra effort. It is quite refreshing for all departments of a hotel to be in sink to such a degree. There was one thing that bugged me but not enough to make a big issue of it. The club lounge food was above expectations. There was a very beautiful presentation of offerings at each change of service whether it be breakfast, hordourves or dessert. There's a Starbucks machine in the lounge area for a coffee, hot chocolate or chai tea. Wonderful! The view of downtown was nice and the room was understated but nicely decorated. We really enjoyed our stay and always do at the Fairmont hotels. They really know how to treat the guest.

Wendy, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are pleased to hear our exemplary staff provided top-notch service to you and your family during your weekend stay with us but we are sorry to hear that there was something that kept us from receiving a 5-star review. We look forward to having you and your family visit us again so that we may have another chance at earning that 5th star.
