Our 8:30 reservation for the Chef's Table could not be met because the previous party was continuing to order drinks. I asked the hostess if we had the option to sit at a regular table instead of waiting for the CT, and after a few minutes, she informs me we're being seated in The Wine Cellar private dining room! This room is FANTASTIC for a party, and usually requires a food and beverage minimum, plus tax and gratuity, and no split checks, but not for us. This WAY MORE than made up for the extra wait our party endured. The service was impeccable, the food is fantastic, and Chef Fearing himself made an appearance and indulged us by singing the birthday song with our party. I even asked to have him surprise me with my entree, and was served the most delicious sea bass, and I'm pretty sure it was not a menu option. :-)
Overall, amazing experience.
