“B&B gem”

This is a true gem in Dallas. Daisy Polk is an inn with character and charm, much like its namesake, I felt at home as soon as I arrived. I stayed in the Reagan room and it is large and very comfortable, you have the exclusive use of the full bath across the hall. The staff are gracious and are happy to offer suggestions on the "what to do" around Dallas during lovely breakfasts and, without question, the best coffee! The Inn is located in a great area - and if you enjoy walking - and the weather cooperates, you are close to the Katy Trail and the West Village. At the West Village you can hop on the trolley that takes you uptown to the arts district. Everything about The Daisy Polk Inn was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Stayed 2 nights after that long long flight from Australia. Check in was a little unusual as noone lives there and you have to arrange for someone to meet you there. We arrived early and had to wait for someone to come. But once settled in. Rooms were great. It was quiet and the breakfast. Wow. What a great setting in the big beautiful dinning room with the big dinning table. The chef and I have forgotten his name was great. Nothing too much of an effort. Would I stay there again. Abosulately.

I attended a conference in Dallas and decided to skip the hotel and stay at the Daisy Polk Inn. Charming house with lots of antiques and character located in the neighborhood walking distance to bars and restaurants. I stayed in the Daisy room and it has a private bathroom. The staff was incredibly polite - two thumbs up!

I stayed at the Daisy Polk Inn in Sept. 2012, before attending a conference in Dallas. The room (the Dickason), was comfortable and had all of the amenities I needed. The staff are great, and the breakfast is fantastic. The inn is a few short blocks from restaurants, clubs, coffee shops, and fun clothing stores. The location worked very well for me, and I plan on staying there again on my next trip to Dallas.

Room Tip: The Dickason room, while beautiful, is a bit on the small side. If you want a bigger room, go with...

Five members of my family stayed in the Dickason cottage. Having the entire cottage worked well with the 3 on-suite bedrooms. Very cleaning, charming cottage worked well for our stay. Walking distance to some good food choices and close to downtown.

We stayed in the Daisy room. There is no view from the room. The house is surrounded by apartments. Our bed could've been more plush. The bnb serves a continental breakfast unless you give them a list of what you want for a full breakfast.
Lots of activities around the neighborhood. Sirens and airplanes can be heard in the room. Dining and nightlife activities (for partners) are within walking distance.
Parigi restaurant was recommended. My risotto was creamy. My husband's steak was tender. He did not need a steak knife.

Wy wife and I were in town overnight for a wedding, and we enjoy staying in B&B properties because they are more interesting than a corporate hotel chain. Daisy Polk Inn is a perfect example of why we choose alternative lodging. Immaculately clean, amazing architecture, gracious host, and good food. This place had it all.
