“In a league of its own!!”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

while on a recent trip to Dallas, I had the pleasure,AGAIN, to visit Salum. It truly is better every time I go there. The most amazing decor and atmosphere, perfect service, but THAT FOOD is the real star of the show. Mr Salum was also there, busily cooking, greeting guests, etc. It truly is my favorite place to dine in Dallas and I always make time to go every time I am there. Congratulations on a VERY FINE restaurant

“Hard to find but pretty good”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Tucked into a strip mall, its not the easiest place to find if you don't know what to look for, but turns out it is right on the SE corner of Fitzhugh and Cole.

Went for KRLD restaurant week. Limited menu (as expected) for the preview weekend, but the food was very good. Scallops were tender and medium rare, airline chicken (ask why its called airline chicken) with a chimichurri sauce was nice, but the winner was the pork "shin". Braised pork shanks. Yum Yum Yum.

Nice touch on dessert was that they have a set plate of two desserts, so no one has to choose.

Pretty good place. Not sure how great a value the restaurant week menu is vs regular prices as we didnt look, but good stuff.

“A hidden gem...”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

The service is outstanding, food is delicious and well presented, served quickly, very professional and convenient. I absolutely recommend this place. Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for here. By the way, they have the best bread pudding in town!

“Don't judge a book by the cover!”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

Located in a small strip shopping center off the beaten path is a sleek sophiticated restaurant known as Salum. The flavors and quality far exceed the bland exterior. This is not to be missed. A favorite for foodies and those that seek traditional upscale dishes. Chef/Proprietor is tops!

“Sister restaurant just as bad...”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

Went to Komali for brunch and then tried the sister restaurant next door (Salum) for dinner. Speed of service was just as bad and we were a party of four. Ordering wine took forever and then ordering foodfood took even longer. I think our waitress forgot about us. Several other tables came and went while we waited and waited. The food was good but not for the price paid.
