We saw a Fab4 show here with 2nd row seats (thank you KERA, sure glad we made the donation that got us these tickets!). What a gorgeous theater. There are no bad seats here. Small enough to be very personal, but big enough to bring in serious shows. Loved it. I'd be willing to go back for just about any show to enjoy this theater again.

We went to the Majestic on a Saturday night to see Ron White. Although seated at the very back, we could still see and hear fairly well. This venue is old and shows it in places, but is still a very good place to see a performance. There is plenty of parking in the area for a price - we paid $10 for a parking garage a block away.

Old theater with a vintage feel. Very friendly staff. There are plenty of places in the place to find a drink and there is a little room with a couple of bars on the ground floor that seemed like the spot to be. I saw two shows here during my trip one from the balcony and one from the 5th row. Both seats were great and I was able to see and hear perfectly. Nice place!

Had great seats. Third row center section. The great thing about the great seats. Super view, great acoustics and very reasonable. A place to watch a concert in great seats that is very affordable. And there isn’t a bad seat in the house.

The Majestic started out as a vaudeville house about 100 years ago. Later became a movie theater before sitting unused for a decade. Then it emerged once again as a performing arts venue. I've been going there during at least parts of six decades.

So I kind of see her as being like a once georgous woman woman to whom the years have not been kind-the beauty is still there but you wished she'd taken better care of herself.

It was a structure built for a different era-an era when people took streetcars downtown, were used to climbing stairs, and for some reason didn't need restrooms as much.

That said, there's nothing really wrong with it. The accustics are decent and there's virtually not a bad seat in the house. The City of Dallas should be proud of what its cultural affairs folks have accomplished.

It's well worth the trip to experience the slightly faded grandeur of the gilded age. But it's also worth doing a little preparation.

Unless you're used to driving in downtown Dallas I suggest doing a little homework regarding routes or consider taking Uber. On street parking is available but in short supply;. reasonably priced paid parking is easily available but finding it is not necessarily obvious or intuitive. The Majestic web-site provides information with both directions and parking..

Restrooms are problematic, being in the basement and too few in numbers. This is especially the case for women. I suggest limiting pre-event fluid consumption appropriately.

So-do you homework, find a nice restaurant to have a meal beforehand, consider using Uber, and have a great time.
