A Great small museum on a beautiful campus. If the weather is nice take a nice walk around the campus. If it is not the parking is right under the museum.

Focusing on European, and specifically Spanish art, this small museum is intimate yet interesting. The small quiet atmosphere was my favorite.

well worth 2 hours to stroll through this treasure of a museum. ample parking underground. museum located on SMU campus just north of Mockingbird and west of US 75 (Central Expy). in my opinion, this is a MUCH better use of your time and money than the nearby Bush Library, also on the SMU campus.

Because of a few well-healed Dallas collectors who purchased Spanish masterpieces when same were offered for sale during Spain's trying financial times, this museum has the LARGEST collection of Spanish works outside the Prado. Because of this, there are frequently MAJOR travelling exhibits attracted here.... I just returned from Madrid where some Sorolla works were not in his museum but right down the block from me!

a beautiful museum with collection masterfully displayed. catch a meal before or after, as there's no food service on site. Also, if you take a sketchbook and pencils, they gladly lend you a full sized easel.

A true treasure!

SMU has built a world class gallery and has the collection to support it. Check out the special exhibits and permanent displays, but go.

The Meadows Museum is a treat at any time, but the "Sorolla and America" current exhibit is not to be missed. It closes April 19th, so there is not much time left to treat yourself. Great painting and paintings!
Generally we have found the docents excellent; the tour we took yesterday was outstanding. Even the students in the group were wide-eyed and attentive. The other exhibits are worth viewing at a separate time.
Tip: Thursday from 5-9 pm are free. Otherwise it is $10 general admission and $8 for seniors. Kids under 12 and SMU students get in free. Parking is underground.
