A must visit for both the beginner and the advanced art lover to learn more about art from an increasingly important part of the world.

There is an incredible amount of Asian history here. I've been several times and am always fascinated by the collection. Truly one of the best museum/art scenes in Dallas.

Beautiful contemporary paintings.
Excellent collection of statues. There are many steps at the entrance, requiring us to go to the other side of the building to enter. The gardens on the way to the accessible entrance are lovely, with an old oriental bell to ring.

This is a popular destination for school children and admission is free (donations gladly accepted). I got there just before the school buses unloaded so it was quiet and uncrowded. The collection is well organized by time period and location; fabulous jade artifacts, glazed bowls, jars and a huge, intricately carved, front of a house in the main lobby. Don't forget to walk around the sculpture garden.
