No loud music or mariachis
A small intimate restaurant in the bishop arts district of dallas
Ask to sit in the original restaurant area so you can see how tiny the place was when it opened..
Jarochitas (Mexican egg rolls) with the huasteco sauce are a good start
Try the chicken pipian, chicken breast with a tasty pumpkin seed sauce
Or the adobo de puerco, pork with a spicy chili pepper sauce
The tamales are larger and wrapped in banana leaves so they are softer and have a different flavor from your typical Mexican tamale
The arrecheritas (fajitas) are delicious. I like the pork or steak best.
They also have some really good seafood offerings
Cactus soup is tasty as well
They make some pretty stout margaritas and mojitos too
Absolutely one of my favorite dallas restaurants
