“Great place for a quick lunch or snack!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

I have been frequenting Celebrity for almost 20 years and it never gets old. This family-owned "chain" has been dishing out great cookies and cakes for years. My husband loves the Black and White cake (yellow cake with chocolate icing) and I adore the cookies (any of them). The sandwiches and soups are perfect for a quick lunch. And yes, seating can be a challenge if you try to get in the door between 12 - 1. Grab it to go and then head out the door, turn right, go past Lela Rose and turn right again. You are in a small courtyard with a fountain that is almost always empty. Perfect!

Try the Hawaiian Ham and pineapple for a nice change. Or get the family-sized King Ranch Chicken entree that you can heat up at home. Heavy on the calories but there is nothing like it for comfort food.

Enjoy this special stop in Highland Park Village.

“It's an affordable place to eat lunch at Highland Park Village”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2012

If you're not in the mood for a long relaxed lunch at a pricier HP Village restaurant, this is a great little place. It is a great place to get a cookie after school with the kids or grab a one-dish dinner item to heat up at home. The food is average, the baked goods are generally very good. Getting thru the lunch time lines and waiting in your food is the biggest challenge. Seating inside the restaurant is pretty limited and outside seating is even more limited - however, you're sitting under bird-laden trees in the middle of the sidewalk, so altho you might like the outdoor dining idea, it can be a little precarious and you'll be fighting the birds getting your food. Also the high pitched bird deterent system they have running bother young people's ears.

“Do Not Go - It is TERRIBLE”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2012

I have not ever given such a terrible review, but I have never been to a place this bad....we wanted a special dessert. Well, it was special. But not in a good way. We ordered a coconut cream pie - the man behind the counter highly recommended it as one of the best pies there. The whipped cream was old, had pulled away from the custard and tasted bad. It should have been thrown away, not served to customers. It had to have been made at least a day or two before. We took it back to the counter and rather than refund or comp, they asked what we wanted. We did not want to try more pie so we got a cooker (much less of a price). They still didn't comp. They did ask what else we wanted and we added a cake ball. It was still lesser of a price and didn't offer anything else. Do not waste your time or your money. Save your taste buds on something better.

“A Highland Park Classic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2011

I love going to Celebrity -- I have been to both the Preston Hollow location and the Highland Park location, but prefer the Highland Park location because it is so quaint. Have been there many times over the past 20 yrs and it never disappoints. Excellent sandwiches and desserts. Lovely decor.
