The have some of the best dry-aged steaks in Dallas
I would recommend Al Biernat's 10 out of 10 times...
Al Biernat's is by far the best restaurant in Dallas. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. Expect the restaurant to be crowded at peak times on the weekend and make reservations in advance. It is true that you might have to get a drink at the bar, but why would you want to hurry when you have such a great view of the people coming in? People watching is among the best in town with both local and national celebrities among the diners. Expect to be treated like a celebrity whether you hold the title or not! Make sure to try the snapper with lobster risotto with the chocolate bomb for dessert. Introduce yourself to Al and he will remember your favorite table, waiter, and wine the next time you are in... and you will definitely want to go back! The wine list is amazing. We are in Al's almost every week!
We happened to be in Dallas for our anniversary. We made a reservation for 8:30. We were told to go have a drink at the very crowded bar and we would be called when our table was ready. My husband specifically asked how long that would be and was told "not too long, we hope". At 9:20, after two drinks, my husband asked the hostess what was up. We were told they were "backed up". We walked out, had dinner at our hotel. All they had to say was that they were backed up when we came in-- hate being lied to, especially when the regulars are being led to their tables immediately. Next time we'll take the concierge's advice and go to Bob's...
