My most recent visit to this Old Dallas institution was as enjoyable as ever. Entrees were capably prepared, service prompt, efficient and friendly. Always reliable. Try out the latest new places and come back to Al's.

Once again a great dinning experience at Al's... Always consistent food and always lively (i.e. noisy) atmosphere! But you really can't beat the steaks and the peppercorn sauce to go with a great Filet!

Company money at a meeting...otherwise...

Locally owned, up up upscale steakhouse. Glitterati, Dallas princesses and Maesearti's---get the picture. Jerry Jones hang out....etc.

Kind of a low key looking place from outside---has a dry cleaner attached! Once you open the door however...you can smell the $$$ Benjamin's in the air.

Small bar...several local debutante's manning the stools.

Dining room is like Aladdins Palace...ornate, domed ceilings, etc.

Steak the name of the game---several folks in the party also had sea food---they raved.

Everything ala carte. A $56.00 filet by itself on a plate looks funny...as in comical.

Baked potato was cold...meat was superb. Mushrooms in butter and grlic (avoid the red wine 'shrooms) excellent.

Solid wine list

Caution---this place sounds like the runway at DFW at 8:00 a.m. on a weekday. It is nearly impossible to hear...

Service impeccable, food tasty, money ridiculous, ambience a runway for being seen ---and really really really loud.

If you have the coin, try it. If looking for comparable meat, it's Dallas...there are scads of very good steak houses.

This restaurant is all about steak. The seafood is fresh and well prepared but the accompanied side dishes lack completeness, a bit uncooked (risoto) and rich.

The high light of the meal is the $89 dry aged ribeye with bone. It is truly fabulous and little seasoning as possible so you could taste the beef and let it melt each byte.

I would go back for the dry aged again and also try the wet aged. Seafood just standard for typical high end place nothing spectacular.

This was our first visit to Al Biernat's and we were not dissapointed. We had a reservation and were seated on time during a very busy Valentines weekend. The service was top notch from the valet all the way to the bus boy. The food was prepared excatly as ordered and served hot and fresh. Thanks Al for a memorable night out.
