I have known Al and been his customer for over 25 years since he started in downtown Dallas. Since moving away from Dallas, I don't get to eat at Al Biernat's often enough, so I was eager to stop back in last week. As I expected, Al provided a warm and gracious welcome, but more to the point, the chicken piccata was absolutely great! Plump, tender and perfectly cooked, with a tangy, lemony, caper-y piccata sauce, it was a delicious lunchtime feast and everything that chicken piccata should be. There is an "old world" quality (in the very best way) to what Al does - everything is about hospitality, good times and most importantly, excellent food. Al and his restaurant are a true Dallas treasure!
