We went to Pappadeaux for the first time last night for dinner and loved it! Fun atmosphere, great food and fantastic service! Our server, Brandon, made recommendations from the menu that were amazing! We will definitely be back! Great experience!

“Just Okay at Best”
Reviewed July 3, 2012

I was craving fried fish and a friend suggested Pappadeaux. It had been awhile since my last trip to Pappadeax so I agreed. Not a good choice for someone from the south who really knows what good fried fish tastes like. I got the fried platter. The catfish wasn't bad - it just wasn't really good. The fried shrimp and fried crawfish were okay, but the fries were so horribly salty they could not be eaten. No cole slaw was served with the platter and worst of all - NO HUSHPUPPIES! No hushpuppies with fried fish is just unthinkable!
Although it wasn't expensive, the food was not worth the price we paid. The waiter was a sweet kid who was really trying and did a decent job, but he just couldn't make up for the very average food. It wasn't the worst meal I have ever had, but it was pretty sad considering that Pappadeaux used to be a place I would look forward to visiting. Not any more. There are several places in the Dallas area with far better fried food and sides!

“bad service”
Reviewed February 29, 2012

I am not sure if it was because Christmas season or what. the tables were so crowded that even the waiter could not go near the table and asked us to pass the hot dishes. There were kids among us! Also there were incident that a woman was vomiting. after the people at that table left. The worker waited at least 5 minutes to clean the floor. Only use mop! I feel sorry for those people use that table later! We will not go back to this restaurant anymore!

This is our all time favorite seafood restaurant. We always manage to eat here at least once when we're in the area--sometimes as a couple but most of the time with children and grandchildren (good children's menu too). No matter who or when, we all have great food.

The fried crawfish tails are fantastic. No one does them better. There is a crawfish trio that is not on the menu that is really good--the sauteed crawfish served on white rice is better than the crawfish etouffee (which looks more like stew). This place will substitute items which allows you to do some of your own combos (I had fried shrimp and fried crawfish tails and eliminated the fried tilapia on the lunch menu). The ginger salmon is one of the best fish dishes I've eaten too. Fresh green beans are great.

We generally do not get dessert as we're too full but there is a wide variety and a trio special (at least right now) that looked really good.

Fresh hot french bread will continue to be brought to the table as long as you ask for it.

Coke prices are a bit high--even for a restaurant.

Waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Yes, this place can be noisy depending on how busy they are.
