This was our first time dining at Cadot. We brought our own wine, which they were happy to serve us with a corkage charge. The restaurant is clean and pretty. It has a Califonia look to it ... light wood tones and cream/white walls. The first thing I noticed was that the menu is HUGE for a French restaurant. The daily specials are almost enough to fill up a normal French restaurant menu. There are choices for diners of all tastes on the menu.

The escargot were awesome, the sauce was exceptional. We asked for a special request, a pasta appetizer not on the menu, and Chef Cadot obliged, It was also great. We had a cheese plate (from the dessert menu) with our wine ... it was very European in that several of the cheeses were more "mature" than most Americans would prefer. We liked it, but we both prefer cheese plates we have had at a couple other local restaurants, so I wouldn't recommend that specific dish.

For main courses we had scallops and sea bass. Both were fantastic. After our meal, Chef Cadot came out of the kitchen to greet us. We spoke to him for 10 minutes. He loves what he does, and it shows. Our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. Give Cadot a try, there is something for everyone on the menu.

I cannot say enough about the consistency of the dishes, service, and attention to detail at this place. I have eaten here about 50 times and I have never once had an issue. Maybe because Chef Jean Marie is usually there.
If you call ahead, you can ask about him having the rabbit which is out of this world! If there is no rabbit, I get the duck and it is always perfect. The wine list is amazing!
With dessert, try a shot of the chocolate flavored vodka, my French professeur who is over 80 years old gave me that tip and it is in fact quite tasty.
It's fun to get the table by the kitchen so that you can hear the Chef ordering all of the people in the kitchen around!

The atmosphere is always wonderful and my favorite choice is the fish. Then they have the most wonderful deserts.

Dined here this past Thanksgiving. The restaurant was busy but no crazy and did have open tables. We had reservations and arrived on time. We were greeted very warmly upon arrival and seated quickly.....and there we sat and sat and sat. Twenty minutes to thirty minutes and I finally was able to flag down a waiter and ask who our waiter was. He rolled his eyes and said he was busy with other tables and he would check. He came back a few minutes later and asked what we wanted. He took our drink order, meal and dessert order all at once. It was a limited menu because of the holiday so there was a choice of soup or salad, 3 entrees, salmon, hanger steak and turkey and about 4 typical desserts. The three of us - adults, no children - we each ordered something different so we had a good sampling of the food. The food was delicious but we felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable because of the server. As I said, there were 3 of us, limited menu and we had one bottle of $32 wine. The bill was $178. Due to the service issues, and for that price - we would never return or recommend to anyone.
