This was our first time dining at Cadot. We brought our own wine, which they were happy to serve us with a corkage charge. The restaurant is clean and pretty. It has a Califonia look to it ... light wood tones and cream/white walls. The first thing I noticed was that the menu is HUGE for a French restaurant. The daily specials are almost enough to fill up a normal French restaurant menu. There are choices for diners of all tastes on the menu.
The escargot were awesome, the sauce was exceptional. We asked for a special request, a pasta appetizer not on the menu, and Chef Cadot obliged, It was also great. We had a cheese plate (from the dessert menu) with our wine ... it was very European in that several of the cheeses were more "mature" than most Americans would prefer. We liked it, but we both prefer cheese plates we have had at a couple other local restaurants, so I wouldn't recommend that specific dish.
For main courses we had scallops and sea bass. Both were fantastic. After our meal, Chef Cadot came out of the kitchen to greet us. We spoke to him for 10 minutes. He loves what he does, and it shows. Our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. Give Cadot a try, there is something for everyone on the menu.
