“Good Choice after visiting the Perot Museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2013

We were quite hungry after several hours in the new Perot Museum. El Fenix is just across the street and this was our quick choice for a late lunch. Seated immediately, our waiter arrived with silverware and menus. He took our drink order and our combo appetizer order which consisted of quality queso and guacamole with nice thick warm chips. While we wolfed our way thru this we stopped long enough to order from the lunch menu. Two ordered the Mexican lunch special (2 enchiladas rice & beans), wife ordered the fish tacos and I ordered the brisket tacos. The waiter brought another batch of cripsy hot chips and more salsa, and refilled tea glasses. Like I mentioned, we were hungry. The meals arrived in reasonable time and everything came as ordered. The food was consistent with other Tex-Mex restaurants in and around Dallas. Its good but not knock your socks of great. We would go again if in the neighborhood.

“Always the Best Food & Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

The food is consistently great, but what we really like about the downtown El Fenix and the one off of Colorado in particular is the wait staff. They are real professionals who give you 5 star service and attention which really caps off a really superb meal. As always, NEVER visit El Fenix without taking home a bag of the best tortilla chips on planet Earth!

“Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Brought a visiting friend from the "North" to El Fenix for dinner to experience good food, atmosphere and friendly people. We were not disappointed. Since we had not seen each other for some time, we informed the waiter that we would be planted for a while. No problem, they brought our drinks (which were very good) and left us alone to chat. When we were served our food it was hot and tasty. We were never rushed and enjoyed our time.

“Nice Atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

The wait was a little long but the atmosphere and food were good. The resturant gets busy during the hours of operation of the Perot Museum Nature and Science so plan ahead. I would eat there again.
