We tried this place on a Saturday night at 8pm and it wasn't very crowded (and its a small place). The vibe is very cool, like dining in London, the food was very well prepared (attention to details), and the service was excellent.
Vibe: Its a small place in Deep Elum that has two rooms. The first room was the typical brick wall with the original paint on it, so it had a historical feel to it. Its intimate with a casual style. The staff is friendly and greets you promptly. My only concern was they have roughly 15 tables and maybe 5 had people at them. It was very quiet.
Food: I've read the reviews about the portions and frankly think that these people are either a) eating way too much or b) used to the Texas Style of giant portions. Its more like a European restaurant where the portions are reasonable. We were by no means hungry when we left. Everything we had was really tasty and well prepared. Split the seasonal greens, which was good, but was strong with gorgonzola cheese. The mains were great, my wife had the Sea Bass (amazing) and I had the Short Rib, which was also excellent. We got the lemon risotto and it was well-prepared. Didn't get dessert as we were full.
Service: Attentive and personalized. He was an effective waiter, knowing when to be around and when to be scarce.
Wine: Small, but reasonable. Found an obscure Australian Cab (Yalumba Signature), which was quite good for the price and has some age (2010).
