“Excellent Food & Ambience”

Tried this restaurant during Restaurant Week and it exceeded my expectations. Because of it being restaurant week I was concerned we would be unable to get a reservation however, not only did we get a reservation, they seated us early. We ordered the wedge salad and the house salad. The wedge had a wonderful creamy blue cheese dressing and the house salad an unique viniagrette paired with apple sices and pecans- both very good. The warm fresh baked bread was plentiful and presented before our salads. Our steaks were cooked to order and the only mis-step was my husband's steak was just warm. When approached we mentioned this and they apologized and returned with a new steak. Considering it was restaurant week AND a Saturday night I can see how this could happen. At least they corrected it. They also have a server approach you once your food has arrived with an offer of gravy for your mashed potatoes and sides of green onions and sliced tomatoes. Nice touch although, really not necessary with the amount of food provided. Your steak came with three sides - mashed potatoes, fresh, crisp snap peas, and a fabulous cream corn. Our desserts were strawberry shortcake and chocolate mousse cake. The shortcake had a wonderful sugar cookie type cake making it even more tasty! It was a delicious meal and if the incentive of restaurant week is to woo potential repeat customers - they certainy succeeded! We will definitely be back! Another note, they had a musical trio playing music from the Sinatra era just adding additional "class" to the evening. Afterwards, we stayed for an after dinner drink and enjoyable music at the piano - the end to a wonderful evening! Wish they would open a location in Colleyville/Southalke.

“Very Disappointed”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

My family and I attended III Forks for restaurant week 2013. I had dined at III Forks previously and considered it my favorite steak house so I was looking forward to another great dining experience. A couple of us had recently enjoyed Pappa Bros for restaurant week so we had a great experience to compare to our III Forks evening. It all began with the reservation. A duplicate order was made online in error. When III Forks discovered the issue they were kind enough to call to confirm the reservation. I found this very reassuring until I received a second call. The second phone call made it appeared as if they were wishing we would cancel our reservation. Upon arriving at the table we noticed some of the silverware was dirty. When ordering I noticed another difference. Pappas Bros was very careful to take all the women's orders prior to taking the men's. III Forks did not. The ordering was typical around the table style. In addition there was no interest as to how our filets were cooked. No one ever asked if our steaks were prepared to our satisfaction. Finally we had been asked when making the reservation and when greeted by our waiter if we were celebrating a special occasion. We had advised both the hostess and our waiter that we were celebrating a birthday. There was no mention of the special occasion until the waitress offered birthday wishes as we walked out of the dining room. After our dining experience I have no interest in returning to III Forks. However I will gladly return to Pappas Bros or Ruth Chris as soon as possible.

“Excellent service”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

Had birthday dinner here during restaurant week and it was wonderful. Service is very attentive, food was delicious. Half of us ordered off the restaurant week menu and they didn't skimp on the amount of food they delivered or the quality. Wonderful atmosphere with piano in bar, some Texas flair with nice decor. The prices are high, but it was a wonderful first visit during restaurant week - well worth the price. Will definitely go again.

“Great Place for a Great Steak”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

Having tried almost every steakhouse in Dallas, Three Forks is by far my favorite. The dining room is beautiful, the service is always perfect & the Filet always perfectly prepared. At this price level it is the details that matter. They hit the mark consistently.
