East Dallas has historically lacked good places to eat and drink. In the last year or two we have seen some solid places opening up. Urban Vines is a very welcome addition. My wife and I (together with friends) have visited twice and on both occasions had a great time. The wine selection is good and reasonably priced. Probably more interestingly is that their food is really good - a sandwich with Parma ham and goat cheese was excellent, as was the other food we tried (and the prices were attractive). The service was also very good - attentive but not at all "snobby". If you want wine advice, they are happy to give it. The patio is the icing on the cake. The road noise is a little high, but it doesn't spoil things. All in all a winner. I very much hope it keeps up its high standards and that it will be here for a long time to come.
