Unfortunately, most science museums have given up on providing content that is interesting and intellectually stimulating to both children and adults. They are little more than big day care centers. The Perot is exactly this kind of museum.

Only go if you are looking for something to occupy your children for a few hours. It's doubtful they'll learn anything. You certainly won't.

Dallas' rallying cry for raising the money to build a new museum was "Dallas deserves a great museum." The building is beautiful, but this is about as far from a great museum as it gets. They should have spent more money on buying real dinosaur bones, sponsoring research and digs, and attracting world-class traveling exhibits and less money on the building. But I guess blowing your budget on appearance and spending nothing on content is an appropriately Dallas thing to do.

Jan. 1ST I went with my daughter and I cannot believe what a fantastic bonus it is to Dallas !
We paid extra and attend the "Animals Inside Out " it is the same as the human body exhibit all over the country ,but this exhibit has ,camels ,a giraffe ,a steer ,a sheep ,horse etc. It is worth the extra $.
Go see the mineral exhibit and the whole museum .
Very cool building as well.

Took kids while in town visiting friends. Parking was hard to find but worth it. Huge kids museum that was packed with people. But well done exhibits and kids enjoyed. Just too many people for me.

We were excited to finally get to visit the inside of this beautiful building! The science exhibits were good. For a non-sciency family, it was a bit slow. The dinosaur exhibit was impressive and we had fun looking at all of the mineral/crystal exhibit. Overall, glad we got to visit this museum. We don't feel the need to do it again, but it was fun.
