A long time ago, this really cool place opened in Casa Linda. There was excellent quality and, granted, upmarket prices. But the value was there and plenty of people loved it as evidenced by the long waits. They opened a new place in Old Town. For a while it, too, did well. Fast forward to today. The second restaurant is closed and, there is always plenty of room at the original place. Bland has replaced tasty. Everything these days is dry and unseasoned. Unfortunately when a restaurant starts trending down like this, it is rare to find a turnaround. Despite the memories we are adding this place to our "to be avoided" list.

We have been here several times over the last few years. There are alot of great breakfast items on the menu. In my mind, it's a little over-priced for the quality of the food, but the portions are decent size. One thing I don't care for is their breakfast potatoes, which seem to be the only side they offer with most breakfasts. They are very plain and bland, and don't help the main dishes at all. Real breakfast potatoes or hash browns would be a much better option.

Overall, the food here is good, although the service is sometimes slow.

Friend suggested we use this restaurant for a breakfast meeting. It was a very pleasant venue. The food was good. I had scrambled eggs which were great. I requested well done, which many restaurants can't seem to do, and these were perfect. My friend had an omelet, which he liked very much. In addition, the coffee was good, especially as compared to most restaurant coffee. The waiter was attentive, efficient and friendly. Will probably use this restaurants for future breakfast meetings when in the Dallas area.

Stopped for brunch around 10 am. It took 5 minutes to get a cup of coffee and another 5 for the waitress to return and take order. Breakfast places should be much faster. We waited 15 minutes to get the meal. The poached eggs were cold. The food was average. It is not a 'go to' place for breakfast. Average at best

We beat the crowds early on the Saturday morning before Easter Sunday. The menu has an amazing variety of creative items. Our party thoroughly enjoyed eggs benedict, crabcakes cavallo (cakes, poached eggs, andouille, red bell peppers, onion), and the Fountainbleu omellette (ham, green peppers, onions, pepperjack). One in our party ordered their meal "Adkins" style and it was prepared beautifully. Service was great. Other interesting items that we would have liked room to try were the Mardi Gras (andouille, crawfish, red bell peppers, tomatoes, onions) and Cajun Potato Skillet.
