Great way to ride around the city for free! Also great way to find places you would typically overlook.

The only downside is that it is very limited in where you can go. But it's a pleasant way to see the town and get to your destination!

Since my grandkids were babies we have taken rides on the trolley.
It is free. They do take donations but not required. There are those who live along the route and take it to and from work. It is like taking a step back in time since the trolleys are all refurbished from the last century.

We frequently take the trolley to the Klyde Warren Park. No fuss in trying to find parking. You can also take it and get off to take the short walk to the Perot Museum or the art museum.

I have enjoyed using the Trolley for over 30 yrs, at one time I live a few blocks from Mckinney Ave. It is the best deal in Dallas, for visitors without a vehicle. Big D. is enormously spread out. Europeans and New Yorkers are usually stunned how far everything is apart, in the summer the heat and the distances are a guarenteed red face exhausted experience if you attempt to walk it. Plan your visit using Dart Rail from DFW and stay within close distance to the Trolley. It is true historic experience of how public transportation worked in the early days of Dallas. It runs about 3 miles up and down Mckinney from Uptown to Downtown. Which you can then connect to buses and the light rail trains to anywhere in the Greater Dallas area. The Trolley is actually historic cars from many different places, seats are hard, no AC, and it will get crowded in the evenings. But they open the windows and it's about a 30 min. ride start to finish. Check time tables, online and on are posted on poles along McKinney Ave. Lots of clubs and restaurants within walking distance from Trolley. Much better than walking the dark streets of Dallas.

Do not stay at Mline tower. Awful experience. The property gets broken into often. Excessively loud and noisy neighbors
