The sculpture center is unique and very diverse compared to you regular art museum. The outside sculpture garden is beautiful to walk around, relax and if you are lucky be there to attend a concert.

This is a new museum and one of the best collection of modern sculpture I have seen. It is in a beautiful building designed by the Italian architect, Renzo Piano. He did the new Science Museum in San Francisco and the Menil Museum in Houston among others.

If you are visiting Dallas and you did not make it to this place, you are missing one of the greatest palces in Dallas. There is the Asian arts collection across the street and other interesting places are within walking distance. You can spend a day in arts district, have a nice lunch at the museum near by or at Fairmont hotel.

This was a pleasant trip for an afternoon, which provided much discussion and insight for us. The sculptures are intriguing, and the garden has possibly the only modern art installation to have been declared destroyed due to a nearby constructed building reflecting sunlight into the installation.

The Nasher Sculpture Center is an architectural wonder, so beautiful. In addition, to whatever current sculpture exhibit is on display, the building itself is an amazing sculpture. The best part though is the sculpture garden - such an amazing experience. Don't miss the door in the back of the garden that leads to a sky viewing room - that is best seen around sunset to watch the changing colors of the sky. The sculptures and the garden are the perfect opportunity for peaceful reflection and experiencing childlike awe.
