Effective October 1, the Westin changed over to be a Marriott property. Every member of the staff that I encountered was friendly, patient and upbeat. My room at the hotel was quite spacious (their standard king bed room). The only down side of the room was the small bathroom--which was not very different from many other hotels. The hotel is in a good location relative to the downtown business district; there are also several breakfast and sandwich shops in the adjoining building.
For Marriott "status" members, you will be interested to know that they are soon to begin construction of a conceirge lounge and expanding the exercise facilities (which will also move to the concerige floor). I was told the construction would be complete mid-2011. In the mean time, free breakfast is provided to Marriott platinum members in the restaurant on the first floor.More
