One of my favorite things to do in Dallas is to visit the Bishop Arts District. Mainly to dine but find several fun and eclectic stores to shop as well. It's set apart from the hustle, bustle of downtown Dallas for a change of pace. I've never had a bad meal there, no matter where we've dined and always come home with a shopping bag or two.

This is what life should be like. Nice people. Great food. Everyone in a good mood not judging each other. Thanks, Bishop Arts for always having a smile to share, cute stores and great food. What more could a girl want?

For a great way to while away the hours head to the Bishop Arts district! Wander from vintage clothing to a happy pet store to a unique toy store to several wonderful restaurants. Pick a day, any day and get lost in Bishop Arts!

This was our first visit to Bishops Art district and we will certainly be back. A great afternoon was spent eating Chili at the tasting event and wandering around the shops. Unfortunately we found ourselves ready for a meal around 5.00 and nothing was really open apart from an "authentic english" pub which was pretty good but we will have to go back to try some of the great restaurants in the area

The Bishop Arts District is a slice of culture in the midst of the formerly run down South Dallas neighborhood of Oak Cliff. The unique, trendy boutiques lining Bishop and Davis streets present chic fashion options for Dallas' growing young professional community.
Walking the streets with my friend in the waning twilight, I felt like I'd stepped onto a side street in Prague. The tiny boutiques, spotless streets and antique lamplights created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing stroll and quiet conversation. We stopped for taste if America at Hunky's Hamburgers and lingered in the retro atmosphere half expecting The Fonz to walk through the door at any moment.
As a regular international traveler, I found the change of pace from fast-food, chain store American mainstream refreshing.

Warning: Don't plan your visit on a Monday night since many of the shops are closed on Monday nights.
