The West Village is in uptown Dallas and everyone seems to really rave about the shops, restaurants etc. It's ok, not bad, but not sensational either. Definitely worth a visit, but we found better places to eat closer to our hotel and the shopping is nowhere near as good as say, NorthPark Mall. We did however stumble upon a gem of a pub - the Dallas Pub - with the friendliest bartender (Matt) that you are ever likely to meet. We had a rather ordinary brunch there (prices are dirt cheap so who cares?) but for a bit of good fun Dallas banter, go there for a drink....or a shot! They'll love making one for you!
