“great hideaway while at the convention center”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

we snuck over to Texas Spice at the Omni while attending an event at the Dallas Convention Center. The food at the convention center did not look too appealing so we figured that the Omni had to be better - at it was - much better. We had breakfast on one occasion and a late lunch on another. The restaurant was casual and accomodating and didn't make a fuss even when we ordered just the yogurt parfait and a cup of tea for breakfast.

On our second visit I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which came on Texas toast and was on the belly busting side of the equation. So be prepared.

“Enjoyed Every Meal”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

It was cold and drizzling this particular weekend so we ate breakfast and dinner here while attending a convention. We were quite pleased with the variety and quality of the cuisine offered, and the staff were attentive and remembered us during every visit.

“Great Food!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

The restaurant features a great buffet menu for dinner. Make sure you ask for it. It's tucked in back of the restaurant. The food was wonderful.

“Don't miss their french toast!”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Stayed at the Omni and had two meals at Texas Spice - later meal one night at the bar and the buffet breakfast another day. Both times the food was tasty and service excellent. Wanted to go another day to the buffet breakfast, you can also order from the menu, but the restaurant was closed for a private function. You had to go to the other restaurant and the setup there wasn't nearly as good. The breakfast buffet is plentiful with all kinds of options - breads, fresh fruit, meats, quiche, grits, etc. I tried quite a bit and really liked everything I had. There is also a made to order egg/omelette station where they also did made to order waffles. My friend really wanted French Toast but it was not on the buffet that day. Shortly after we started eating, the lady working the omelette station brought us over a plate of the French Toast anyway. Now that is excellent service and it was the best French Toast I've ever had. They also have outdoor seating. Very nice out there. Warm and inviting atmosphere inside as well.
