“Best Pizza in Dallas...though that's really not saying much”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

Of the places I have eaten, Dallas has unceremoniously lowered the bar for Italian food and Pizza...yes, there are a couple decent places for Italian food...but the odds are much greater that you'll experience an overpriced disappointment rather than good italian meal or good pizza...sad, but true

Il Cane Rosso is the exception....and it is an exceptional exception....The pizzas are special...and unless you are a disillusioned pizza snob from NYC who has convinced yourself that no other place can have good pizza because "it's in the water"....you will be happy...and if you are the disillusioned pizza snob from NYC....you will love the pizza anyway....you just won't admit it....

This place gets packed...so go early or be prepared to wait...Salads are good, pizzas are great...I had the lasagna one time but it was mediocre...so,stick with the pizzas...then order the Zeppole for dessert and be happy....very happy...

“Best pizza evvvahhh!”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

Love Love Love this place. A little embarrassed to say we've probably eaten here more often than we've cooked at home lately! We go to the Lakewood location. Super friendly staff. Always bustling. But food arrives so quickly. And it is so unbelievably delicious. Split a salad - they feed at least three people. Favorite pizzas are the Regina Margherita and the Ella. And definitely save room for the Bella Mella. That dessert is so amazing that it can't possible be legal!!

“Great prices, food, and service.”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

If you love pizza, this place is a must when you are in Dallas. The pizza was incredible and it was very prompt. It is cooked in a very hot stove right in the middle of the restaurant, so that was cool to see as well. The salads are huge, but you can order a half if you don't want to share. The prices were reasonable as well for the great quality.

“Not your average pizzaria”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

I went to this restaurant with some girlfriends before a concert on a Saturday late afternoon. We were seated immediately and the staff seemed friendly. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing. There were three of us and we were able to split the large caesar salad and a pizza. We all left very satisfied. Great prices and the pizza is delicious! Definitely not your typical pizza place - you have to eat the pizza with a knife and fork because it's so thin but it's delicious! Definitely worth the experience.

“Great Pizza with great friends”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

My friend Sarah was celebrating her 30th bday so three couples headed to Deep Ellum to eat at this great restaurant. My friend and her husband are real "foodies" so we knew we wouldn't be dissapointed. We arrived on a Saturday around 6:45 and the wait time was 1 to 1-1/2 hours. They get your mobile number and text you when the table is ready. We walked next door to a bar called Adair's and ordered drinks and listened to a pretty good bank called Dix Hat Band from Lubbock. It was probably an hour and our table was ready. We ordered three different types of pizza's so we could all share and they were all fabulous! I can't remember the names but two of them were the favorites and the third one was a special of the night with some sweet pork on it. YUM! The waitress was so happy and helpful and it was just a great experience. Ready to go back and take some more friends or family there.
