The Grand Lux Cafe, at the Galleria in Dallas, originated from at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and was created by the owner of the Cheesecake Factory. It is absolutely beautiful! Tall ceilings, gorgeous lighting, and grand opulence. But, still a 'casual dining' establishment. The menu offers a varied selection. The cocktail I had (recommended by the waitress - can't remember the name) was excellent. My 14 y/o wasn't fond of the appetizer he ordered, the pot roast cheese fries. But overall, we really enjoyed our meal. It was $200.00 for a party of 5, with only one cocktail, one beer, and one appetizer ordered. But, we did take home a New York cheesecake and red velvet cake to share, which were both excellent. The plates and dinner servings are huge, much like the Cheesecake Factory. I really like the Cheesecake Factory. But I was so impressed by the Grand Lux Cafe!
