Good for: Bar scene
Description: Deep in the heart of Dallas’ Uptown thrives The Londoner, one of the latest openings of Barry Tate. The Londoner maintains the authentic feel of a true British pub experience. Two-stories of deep, rich woods, hand-crafted bars, traditional pub décor and even a fireplace all invite you in to meet your friends, new and old, for a pint. Chef Stephen DeSandro worked together with Barry to bring Dallas a menu filled with British favourites as well as the local fare.

If you have always heard of "bubble and squeak", "bangers and mash", "steak and mushroom pie", you need to visit the Londoner in Dallas. Great ambience, good food. Enjoyed it a good deal.

Good fish & chips, great selection of whiskey. Nice outdoor porch area for those warm summer nights.

We visited The Londoner on a very recent trip to Dallas. I hadn't been to the State Thomas area in quite a long time, and was amazed with the revamp of the entire area. We were assured this would be a great area to have a drink, some food and enjoy some stellar people watching of the self-impressed [--] variety. Our expectations were more than met on all counts. Our server was extremely nice, even though she was barely treading water due to the huge crowd she was tending. The inside is nice, the outside is nice, the prices are reasonable. What's not to like?

The dogfish head 60 minute was supposed to be on draught. Very nice waitress brought bottles of 90 min DFH. Told her fine as long as same price. Bill came charged full price. She offered &2.00 from her tips. She has asked mgr who said no, cant have it for the same price as the beer we ordered. So no $1.00 off per beer for happy hour as was advertised & no discounted to the price of the beer we ordered. Total overall was $3.00 difference. Poor customer service from Mgr.folks who live around the corner said no return for them. The food was very good. I.e. shepherds pie & Mac n cheese. Too bad the Mgr only sees the small picture. Good potential here w the right manager.

So it's a pub it serves pub grub,a useful selection of beers, and its shows reasonable football matches, don't expect it to be a gourmets delight if you do then be prepared to be disappointed but if you want a pint and some convivial company then for America this ticks all the boxes that you would expect from an English pub give it a try...
