Its a convention Center , what can I say ! But its surrounded by some seriously good hotels within a short walk, the Omni is connected to the Convention Center and has wonderful eating options, the Hyatt Regency is excellent , stayed there and couldn't recommend it highly enough

The convention center is owned by the city of Dallas,Texas and has several functions every month. It is located off of Interstate 30 on Griffith Street. Easily accessible from all four directions. The parking is located on all four sides of the center and most is city owned parking lots. Enormous parking area in the underground parking is available for a fair price. Elevators will bring you up into the convention areas during bad weather from the underground areas. There are three convention levels with enough space to house over 30,000 people. I have attended several charity events, Comic Cons, and conventions at the center. Each time the events were well run and orderly. There several dozen security persons willing to give directions and assist you in many ways. There are info booths on all levels with roving information officers throughout most venues. Elevators and escalators will readily whisk you to any floor quickly.
The area surrounding the center is full of fabulous restaurants from low dollar costs to high dollar costs. Most are moderately priced and affordable. I have eaten in most of them and have never had a bad meal. The area is full of other venues such as City Hall, The Perot Museum, American Airlines Center Arena, Pioneer Plaza, Reunion Arena, and Reunion Tower which are all a short walk from the Convention Center. Other venues are close by with a longer walk time. Some of the best Hotels in Dallas are all within walking distance of the Center, too. You could find enough things to do in the Center and the area around it to fill a long weekend of activities for you and your family. Some locals will check into one of the hotels and have their special "Stay-cation" in this wonderful area of Dallas. So much to do and see. You will not be disappointed. I promise.

The building is nice, but it is the employees that pushed this place over the edge. They were kind and did their job well. From the servers at the meal, to those working keep the restroom clean - they all were professional. They all seemed to like their job. Thank you for doing your job with excellence!

I worked a volleyball tournament in this venue which is probably one of the largest convention centers I have ever been in. Although extremely large, I found the signage and various maps inside to be very easy to use and navigation was simple. I liked the variety of places to eat within the facility which gave you choices without having to leave the venue. The bathrooms was plentiful and the Convention Staff were helpful and attentive. The staff also were constantly cleaning which was evident in the appearance. Would recommend this facility for events.
