The stained glass in the chapel is nice. The park is kind of gross. It smells like urine. Half of it is ripped up and it doesn't look like it's under repair because that's the dog area of the park.

The thought behind the park is nice but the execution is not great. Visit and be thankful for something. Don't stay long because it's gross.

“Quiet in the midst of a busy world”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

Maybe it had something to do with the rushing water (What an interesting waterfall!), but this place is at peace. I understand why it's called Thanksgiving Square. Walkways, bells, flags, quotes, I spent a couple hours here just breathing. I did get caught in a rainshower and had to take refuge under an overhang of a building in the park. My mind was at ease and I was very happy to be alive. If you follow the walkway the bells will ring :)

“A Good Idea”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

The idea of this place if fabulous, but it is under construction and not much to see. We arrived before 5:00pm but the chapel was not open so we couldn't go in. Each one in our family did give thanks for something while we were there so it was a good family activity.

“An oasis in downtown Dallas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

Hard to find the words to describe -- but -- it's a nice, quiet, beautiful, spiritual place to sit, contemplate, reflect, be thankful for the blessings in your life. But in a non-denominational setting. If you find yourself working downtown, or sight-seeing, or just passing by, definitely stop in for a brief visit. You won't be disappointed.

“under rated. everyone should come”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

I didnt think much of this place before coming, and in fact, we were not planing to stop by, but we did. This is another place that makes dallas unique. A very exclusive piece of land in the heart of down town, dedicated to bringing people together from all over the world... Just to say thank you... The place evokes a special feeling when you are there that is so hard to describe. Boy, what a great place it was to teach the kids a lesson!
