“You must visit this place”
Reviewed January 25, 2014 via mobile

It was very cold and we decided to stop on a road trip. Parking was confusing but we found good parking at the Museum car park right next to the plaza for $5 all day. There was a comfortable Subway Restaurant 50 yards away with restrooms for customers. The vendors selling tourist tack were OK and I didn't mind them making a living. We bought a JFK faux newspaper for $5. Plaques indicating interesting things were scattered around. A place you should visit

“Smaller than one would expect”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

You do not understand from the videos of the JFK assassination how tight quarters the entire area actually is and the impact of an area that has not changed since that day. X's line the street where the bullets impacted JFK, the grassy knoll lays just within arms reach. Take the tours, spend an entire day here between the depository and the memorial a half a block up.

“Historical”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

What a neat place to visit. It was neat to see where history unfolded. While you are there, walk around and see some of the other historical landmarks in that area!

“Very interesting, but hate the sleazy vendors around”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

This place is a vey amazing place to visit. It gives you the chills standing in many areas you have seen on TV and in photos. The area is actually very small and compact, quite diferent than I had expected. My only complaint is the strange charachters that try to sell you stuff pretending to be tour guides, just ignore them and move on, Dallas needs to clamp down and control these vendors they jsut make this historic place feel a bit sleazy.

“Checking the box”

Quick run to the spot where JFK was shot while staying at a nearby hotel. Look for the "x" on the street that marks where his car was traveling when the (1st) shot hit him. There are a few conspiricy "tour guides" wandering the area to give you their speil...and expect money. Didn't have time to go into the museum, but heard it was cool.
