“A solemn walk back in time”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

If you have a half day to spare, this is a good starting point to appreciate downtown Dallas. Take the tour at JFK museum and then walk past the grassy knoll, the small plaza and the JFK memorial, your mind will wander on what happened on that fateful day. While photos are not allowed inside the JFK museum, you can take pictures outside. It is a good walking tour of downtown Dallas.

“Historic site worth visiting”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

This is a very understated memorial site. Nothing on the plaques off the road where Kennedy was killed indicate what occurred, just that it's an historic site. It's very somber and definitely worth the visit.

“Over rated”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

We walked around here a bit. There really isn't that much to see. A statue or two and a couple of X's in the road. Which by the way be very careful when going to stand on those X's. Traffic doesn't watch for you. Finding parking for this area is not fun either.

“important to visit”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Do the plaza and then go into the JFK museum across the street. By visiting the plaza you can see the 'grassy knoll' and the actual spots on the street where the JFK motorcade was when it was hit. Sounds a little depressing but it's more somber than depressing. It's an important part of history and is worth a look.

“A Step Back In Time.”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Like other reviewers have said,Dealey Plaza is smaller than it appears in the newsreels. It is still eerily like it did on the news footage of the JFK assassination.and the Zapruder film. It, and the Sixth Floor Museum are a reminder of a time and place in history, and should remain so for the future. The pamphlet hawkers are a bit of a nuisance, but other than that a must see if in dallas.
