Great exhibits, shows and concerts. Worth the drive if your in the mid-cities. Nice find just a few miles from downtown Dallas

We liked the gardens so much we went twice. First time for an evening concert. 2d time to walk around to see what we missed in the evening. Lovely place to wander.

No better place in Dallas to relax to nice good, fantastic views and music. What a relaxing day. Love the salad trio, eating outdoors amoungst the flowers. Have a glass of wine and listen to the wonderful sounds of the keyboard music.

During the month of August, the admission fee went down to $2 rather than the standard $15, and parking was discounted to $5, so we took advantage and braved the heat to visit this beautiful garden.

The foliage is absolutely gorgeous. There's just no other way to say it. Everything is expertly arranged to be visually stunning. There's not a flower out of place. The water features that are spread throughout are also peaceful and very pretty. There are small waterfalls, fountains, and ponds (including a koi pond) in various locations. There are benches sprinkled frequently along the pathway so there are plenty of places to rest, and even picnic tables if you want to have lunch in the park.

In the summer, it is very hot, so bring water and sunscreen. While there are areas of shade, the majority of the space is not. It is worth it to visit, even in the heat. The flowers, wind sculptures, water features, and trees make for an easy, pleasant stroll.

We went during August when the Arboretum had discounted entry ($2 per person, as opposed to $15) and we thought it was a bargain. We had a delightful picnic overlooking the lake and were surrounded by beautifully manicured lawns and flowerbeds. The weather itself was baking hot and the lack of a breeze meant it was hard to walk around for too long!

More/better signposting would be appreciated as it was easy to lose track of where we were. Unfortunately, water from the water fountains was warm, which, on a hot day, is not particularly pleasant.

Would I come again? For $2, yes; for $15, maybe not..
