Beautifully maintained and kept. Plenty of picture opportunities. Been here twice. Once in fall, when they had the Pumpkin Patch and once in Spring when they had the Tulips. Enjoyed both the visits, the second better. Heard the Chihuly Nights are great too. They've got something for every season and they make it worth the trip. Would be my top recommendation for someone visiting Dallas!

“Best gardens in Dallas by a mile”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

It's hard to say something new about the arboretum. We are family members and treat it like an extension of our own garden (it's much nicer and I don't have to look after it). Our kids also enjoy the visits. In summary, a treasure of Dallas, although at times their ever ending desire to expand (e.g. they wanted to build a new car park on the lake) has upset many local people. If they keep this expansion in check, they will remain very welcome neighbors.

“NIcely done!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We used a Groupon and paid for parking on-line to save some $ for our visit to the botanical gardens. ($6 admission each and $5 parking) The grounds are lovely and very well done. Being from Southern California it was nice to see a different set of plants and trees. You can get through it in an hour and a half to 3 hours easily if you just stroll and enjoy. We were given a map of the park but unfortunately it really wasn't very informative. We went to the visitors desk and let the volunteer know that we were from out of town and what are the highlights. He really didn't provide any information that was helpful. He didn't seem to proud of the place and basically highlighted the path that was already on the map. But overall the place is one of the larger and a very nice botanical garden. I don't think on a hot day we really got the benefit of the place but could see the potential. Recommend if you enjoy this type of place.

A bit of Paradise (Garden of Eden) in the middle of Dallas. We ahve been to the Arboretum several times in teh alst 2 years. Always well organized, always a manageable crowd, always fun to sit on one of teh benches and people watch, etc. A very relaxing respite from the hectic pace of life!
