With no special exhibits and early February not exactly the best time of year to visit gardens we weren't sure what to expect. But this is a special place no matter what time of year you attend. There were already lots of early spring flowers and the grounds are so beautifully laid out that it was very impressive. We took a short tram tour led by a delightful volunteer and then toured the mansion on the grounds, spent nearly an hour being informed by a very knowledgeable guide. The only criticism that I have is that the $10 parking fee seems excessive and makes the visit a little expensive, especially for this time of year.

The Dallas Arboretum is just an amazing place to spend a day. The grounds change throughout the year for some areas but are always beautiful. There is a lovely seated restaurant and other quick places to stop for a quick meal. Parking is adequate and convenient. The gift shop has some wonderful items.

Beautiful place just wish it was closer! The best place in Dallas to hang out and picnic, be amazed by the beautiful flowers, landscaping & design, or take pictures.

it may be because I've been there in August, but it was HOT! Great place to visit though. The exhibition is wonderful not just for families or green thumbs but also to walk there and enjoy the beautiful various scenarios that the Arboretum offers. If you pass by Dallas just go there!

Gorgeous grounds abound at this public garden, formerly two estates, located on White Rock Lake. Walking trails within, and a jogging trail without (i.e., around the lake), bring visitors to beautiful gardens, settings and vistas, and including wonderful pools, fountains and water features. Although each season offers a unique experience, my favorite is the fall's Pumpkin Village. No matter the season, there is something for every age-group to enjoy, and, of course, a fantastic gift shop!
