With no special exhibits and early February not exactly the best time of year to visit gardens we weren't sure what to expect. But this is a special place no matter what time of year you attend. There were already lots of early spring flowers and the grounds are so beautifully laid out that it was very impressive. We took a short tram tour led by a delightful volunteer and then toured the mansion on the grounds, spent nearly an hour being informed by a very knowledgeable guide. The only criticism that I have is that the $10 parking fee seems excessive and makes the visit a little expensive, especially for this time of year.
