This was my first visit to the Meyerson. This was a scheduled performance, but was dedicated to the man who designed the building. Gone are the days of black tie and formal dresses to the symphony, just dress like business casual and you will be fine.

The seating was comfortable and the staff was very helpful and attentive. There is a dining option available before the performance and there are also small stations for drinks and snacks open the whole time. There is a parking garage under the facility that is accessed from the rear and there is plenty of ground level parking within a couple blocks.

There is a small shop on the lower level if you wish to snag a t-shirt or knick knack souvenir.

The ATT Performance Center, the Wyly Theatre, and Klyde Warren park are nearby.

Loved the staff who made us comfortable in our seats, to the conductor, to the students who worked so diligently to make each performance spectacular!

The Symphony Hall was build by Pei, and based on the oval shape. Its architecture is phenomenal!! Some of the most beautiful circle light fixtures ever seen are in it. It is most remembered for its fabulous acoustics, and a "Phantom of the Opera" performance there will ALWAYS be remembered!!

During the intermission, be sure to get you some bread pudding. It is absolutely delicious. Don't skimp on the sauce!

I've been to the Meyerson for a variety of performances that range from Star Wars in concert, a holiday performance, and Leslie Odom, Jr. In each case, it was an excellent venue. The seats are comfortable, the acoustics are really quite good, and it is easy to get around. There are a fair number of bathrooms for the size of the center. I would recommend ordering intermission drinks in advance as the lines can get long. The only other issue is the parking. Arrive well enough in advance that you can find a good spot in the garage or elsewhere and give yourself enough time to get into they Meyerson.
