Owner description: The adventure at The Dallas World Aquarium begins at the top of the rainforest exhibit, where exotic birds, such as Cocks-of-the-rock and many species of toucans, can be seen. Lounging around are Two-toed and Three-toed sloths. Endangered animals, such as Orinoco crocodiles, Giant river otters, Antillean manatees and several species of monkeys are part of the many conservation projects. The aquarium portion displays interesting marine life, including Japanese crabs, jellyfish, Leafy, Weedy and Ribbon seadragons. Black-footed and Blue penguins can be seen swimming as guests enjoy the outdoor South Africa exhibit. Sharks, rays and sawfish are only a few of the fish living in the Mundo Maya cenote. Safe from Neotropical eagles, are euphonias, tanagers and hummingbirds. Reptiles and amphibians, both of significance to the Maya culture, can be seen throughout the exhibit.

Interesting, beautiful animals, some I had never even seen in person before! It was a nice break from the heat of Texas summer to stop in here mid afternoon. The kids even got to feed blueberries to a beautiful parrot.

This was something that I found just enjoyable. It is much more than an aquarium and I would recommend it to anyone no matter the age.

The Dallas Aquarium is awesome! When most people hear the word "aquarium" they think of just fish, but this place has everything. From manatees to sharks to penguins to moneys this place has it all. Plus, the layout of the place takes you from the canopy of the rainforest to the floor level so as you wander through the levels you get to see all kinds of different animals. The only drawback to this place is the price... definitely not for those on a budget. But, how often do you get to see all these neat animals up close?

The only thing I was unhappy about, there were school groups there and they were loud and annoying. Of course the Dallas World Aquarium had no control over that. I wish the teachers would have been more in control. Don't miss any part of this beautiful attraction. We spent the day there and took our time with each exhibit. The otters are my favorite. I could spend hours watching them. The fish are gorgeous, the flamingoes, the shark exhibit, the penguins. The animals look well cared for. Be sure and wear comfortable shoes, you will be doing a lot of walking!

We've been to aqauarium all over the US & this is one of our favorites. It really has a lot offer & is kid friendly. Our son loves the Sloth & the Sharks. We keep going back year after year. It's a blast.
