Very nice mix of work and very cool special exhibits while we were there. Wish we'd allotted a bit more time for this in our trip schedule. If you are an art lover definitely put this on your agenda. Only mild complaint is that some of the space was not utilized to its best potential for the particular art being shown...ie, too much space in between pieces or not enough space in some...just broke up the flow a wee bit, but still enjoyable overall.

Have enjoyed many visits to the DMA, always something of special interest and usually of excellent quality. The landscape art and outdoor sculpture garden are fascinating as well. The staff is friendly and there is a cafe and restaurant in which to take a break. The Reves exhibit is a real insight into Dallas. Very good place to take visitors to the city and then explore some of the downtown. Highly recommended.

It is really like a small version of the Met in NYC or the British Museum in London, with a bit of everything. Very well laid out and good descriptors. Nice shop, but a surprisingly small coffee bar.
Really enjoyed it

You can buy a joint ticket for the Museum of Art and the Sculpture Garden. Our prime interest was the Sculpture Garden, but the Dallas Museum of Art also had some interesting pieces, particularly in the contemporary art exhibit. The staff are keen to engage you in conversation about the pieces, without being intrusive or lecturing.
