“Beautiful, comfortable and ultra modern”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013 via mobile

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt because of the potential of snow and otherwise bad weather which had caused the cancellation our flight to Honolulu. Staying at the hotel would avoid the potential mess of driving to the airport in the morning.
We were able to get a AAA hot rate of 159 so we left the evening before our flight. Check in was easy and there was a station of home baked cookies (white chocolate chunk and cranberries- YUM)by the conceige desk!
When we opened the door to the room we were surprised by the wonderful ceiling to floor windows equipped with automated shade and black out shades. The room was well appointed too. The bathroom was blank marble and granite with a separate tub and shower. The bedding was comfortable too. However, the pillows were too soft for me. When we got up there was no pressure to get to the airport and we leisurely took the skytram to our gate. I'd highly recommend this hotel and would most definitely stay here again.
The hotel has two restaurants with good menus for dinner (lobster macaroni rocks!) as did the angus hamburger. The breakfast was also very good. I'd get the chiliquilles again or the Apple French toast.
Enjoy!!

This is an excellent hotel. I use to live here and since moving to another city I've stayed at several and this is #1 for me. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are huge! Be sure to ask for one facing the runways overlooking terminal D. It was too cold for the rooftop pool but that is a great spot and the workout area has plenty of equipment and amazing views while you burn off those calories. I had breakfast at the hotel and it was a little high ($15 per entree) but the portions were good and the service was excellent. There are also spa services available and you can get a massage which is perfect if you were about to fly a long haul flight. It would be worth it if you had a 10pm flight to get a room... relax and watch tv, grab a massage and then a shower then go down the escalator and check in and go. Even if you aren't flying anywhere I would def still stay at this hotel. Valet for the car is $25 but they pull it up like you are being picked up at the airport. Well done Grand Hyatt. I will be back!

Room Tip: Aim for a high floor and facing the runway. You can hear the planes taking off but they are distant...

We attended a conference at this hotel & frankly I was concern on so many levels, such as noise, ambience as well as staff. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. The rooms were modern, clean & spacious. The food/catering staff went out of their way to provide us with delicious meals & even remembered our name /drink order as well as continuous serving of great coffee. Kudos to these fantastic staff, i.e. Ginny, Angel, Lupe - I'm coming back. In fact, plan to host our conference in April there!

Room Tip: All rooms are superb quality for what I heard from the others.

This hotel is not a "destination" hotel. You know, the kind you would pick to spend a weekend getaway. This hotel is primarily a business hotel, however they set the mark for service and convenience. With the location being inside DFW airport, you never need to leave the hotel. Actually, you forget your in an airport. They have soundproofed the rooms so we, you hear nothing but quiet! The rooms are ultra modern with automatic shades and sheers. They lift when you enter the room. The tiles bathroom is amazing with a separate shower and nice sized counter tops. The restaurant is top notch and the lounge was fabulous. My one and only suggestion is the lighting, although way cool, seemed a little dim in the bathroom. Aside from that, I have nothing to suggest. The business facilities on the lowest level were completely adequate with personal staff to bring good food and drinks. Everything was amazing. It can be slightly tricky getting to the hotel depending on which terminal you arrive in, but once your there, it is heaven. Loved it! Probably the nicest hotel I've ever been in. I would love to go back any time! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

The room was great with the exception of the lighting. The lighting in both the room and the bathroom is very dim - be prepared to use the lamps to read the room service menu etc. Staff was very friendly.

Went here as part of a work retreat. The room is quite welcoming and with a good view. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Floors in the bathroom (especially if wet) are extremely slippery due to the nature of the product (black polished granite?) The bathtub is an absolute waste. I'm 6'2", and for expensive rooms, they really are terrible. Really too small. I realize they probably don't get used much, and I'm sure if I spent a ton more $ I could have had a bigger room and bathtub, but pretty silly. Service was good, and their "freebies if you forgot something" list is quite extensive, so I recommend taking advantage of it, since you're paying for it either way. While the shower stall is quite aesthetically pleasing, water splashes out the crack of the glass door and all over the slippery floor. I guess they're ok taking the chance you don't fall down upon exiting the shower? Overall, nice, but it's just a hotel, albeit a convenient one.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up in the building cost more. Ask for a room farther down the hall from the elevator if...

was stuck here when flight delayed. I don't know why people pay big bucks for this. The room was fancy with tech gadgets but no basics like coffee etc. Fridge was like a safe: I just wanted to store my drink there but looked like I would be charged for that. Everything had a price tag.
Thought at least I could have a nice bath but the water only fills to a few inches.
I have been more comfortable in 2 star rooms, sorry.
