“BESY Wine Bar in Dallas”
Reviewed October 11, 2008

Finally... a true wine bar! In Dallas, lots of wine bars exist to market swill. Dali has finally broken the mold!

First impressions: Dali is a cozy (small) wine bar with a HUGE outdoor area at One Arts Plaza. Ambiance of one arts helps to add to the enjoyment of the wine. The gals working at Dali are easy on the eyes as well!

Food: The menu is limited, but tasteful for wine palates. We enjoyed appetizers on our latest visit and remember the lamb from our first visit.

Wine: This is truly where Dali is head and shoulders above. The staff knows the wine... all of it. Some wine bars will tell you a shiraz is spicy and chardonnays are buttery. At Dali, they ask what you are into and will show you wines you never knew existed, but will always remember. They will open random bottles and let you sample before you pick. This is as close to a California tasting room as you will get in Dallas. You will not be disappointed.

Overall: Dali knows wine... and the food that goes with it. If yuo want to visit a TRUE tasting room with World Wines, this is a must do. BTW- They also sell the bottles there on a retail level!

“Dali is a Masterpiece”
Reviewed October 5, 2008

Dali could be my new favorite upscale restaurant in Dallas. It is located in One Arts Plaza which is a high rise mixed use new building adjacent to the Arts District downtown. It is set around a large plaza that has four or five restaurants. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area, which have pretty views of the Dallas skyline. It was a beautiful night and we were able to sit outside. There was a small band playing in the plaza for the restaurants and it was fun. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Our scallop appetizers were very good. We also ordered a veal dish, rack of lamb, and halibut. Everyone raved about their dinners. The service staff and owner were very friendly and helpful although there was a mix up on our appetizer, but they made it right. The chocolate molten cake was great. Only thing were weren’t crazy about was the strawberry profiterole. This was a really great evening.
