“Worst experience for a golfer in DFW.”

Worst golf experience I have had in the DFW area. I cannot speak to the East Course, but the West course was a cow pasture. The greens were inconsistent, the fringe was a joke, and the tee boxes were not level anywhere nor was there any clean grass to tee up your ball. The pace of play was also a joke. It took my foursome 3 hours for 9 holes. On #6 there were 3 foursomes on the tee box just waiting. I called the clubhouse and it speed up a little but still rediculous. I quit after 9. I will never go back.

The price was a bit high for range balls, but the facility was pretty well maintained! There was plenty of room for many players to practice.

This a a nice layout with two courses but the lack of ettiquette of play destroys the enjoyment ... The marshals allow whatever and don't keep pace of play. I usually play this course twice a month because its close to home but I will elect to skip playing this course now 5+ hour round is ridiculous. Groups of eight should be banned.. They tee off as a four and after a few holes you see eight people on a green..

Played the East Course today (84) from the tips (68k ish). The course is forgiving overall. A few narrow holes but on the whole the average golfer will find this course interesting. Greens ran very slow for me. Carts had GPS and we got round in 3 1/2 as a twosome. I enjoyed it. Not used to the grass here (come from Canada) so made it a bit more interesting.

Great price made it worthwhile.

I play here often because there is a great seniors' rate (age 60+). There are two 18-hole golf courses, both adjacent to DFW airport so there is usually considerable plane noise. There is a driving range, two putting greens, and the carts have GPS units. The course is very scenic with challenging holes, lots of trees, quite a few water hazards, and the ubiquitous sand traps. (Although one of the prior reviews says there is very little in the way of water hazards, not a single sand trap, and not many trees, I have to wonder if the reviewer commented on the correct Bear Creek Golf Club in Dallas, Texas which does not have any of the the 3 golf courses that are mentioned.) Personnel are friendly and the grill is reasonably priced with tasty food. Other than the plane noise (which you do get used to) the only negative is that the maintenance crews do not do a good job of walking around and picking up accumulated trash, especially around the edges of the water.
